So, I’ve been in a real good mood lately, and what really helps me to be in a good mood is to think back on some of my favourite things, and look for things that really, really make me laugh.

I thought I’d share them with you today.

Life’s a drag, but not all the time. And drag queens exist and they are fabulous, so it can’t be all that bad..

One of the most insightful things you can do to start having more fun is to think back of all the fun you already had. One thing that really helps me to do that is to reflect on some really fun times I’ve already had.

My 5 favorite experiences

The Trixie Mattel show in Manchester. I was so happy it kind of circled back to getting emotional over how much I could still enjoy myself (after having a bit of a rough time the year before) and it might actually be one of the happiest nights of my life, sipping Coca Cola with my friend while we laughed at Trixie’s jokes.

The weekend I spent with my parents in Rome, where we had late dinners and long lunches with prosecco and fried zucchini flowers.

One night in summer I got drunk with my best friend and we cycled back to Central Station, it started raining and there was thunder and lightning. We were spinning on the plaza in front of the train station, getting soaking wet but it didn’t matter.

An afternoon in 2015 where I booked a decadent lunch for Vincent and I when we had only just started dating and still getting to know each other. We spent the entire afternoon talking, eating amazing food and in each other’s company.

And finally, very recently I was sprawled out on the coach, surrounded by notes, the Marvelous Miss Maisel on our giant flat-screen while I was drinking copious amounts of Earl Grey tea and writing this ebook.

Five times I laughed superhard

When my colleague who I shared an office with and I wore the exact same dress to work and spent the rest of the day confusing our coworkers with that coincidence.

The first time I started listening to My Dad Wrote A Porno. I remember vividly how I was doubled over my bike, howling with laughter. It was glorious. Honourable mention for their Live show in Amsterdam I saw in September 2018; I was SORE from laughing for hours straight.

Vin’s utter astonishment when I’ve come from a workout and I wolf down two burgers and a salad in a matter of minutes. His face and the 2-minute comedy routine he responds with (every once in a blue moon you’re like a VACUUM CLEANER!”) never fail to make me crack up.

The Pineapple Slut Shirt from the first episode of Brooklyn Nine Nine season 6. Honestly, I was on the floor. I still chuckle when I think about it. I kinda want it.

The first time I saw the “this is why mom doesn’t fucking love you”-Vine. Honestly, nothing compares.

Leave me a fun comment!
