A Good Quote For A Monday.

I don’t usually do short blog posts (HA what even are those) but I found this quote yesterday evening and was just so spot-on I just had to share. I think it’s a good quote for a Monday especially.

We always think that tomorrow we’re going to do it. Tomorrow is this magical, clean place where we are going to work elegantly towards all our goals and reach them. While today?

Today is usually too imperfect, too messy.

It’s filled with inconveniences, day-to-day hassles and random factors that can throw us off.

Today just seems so far from the ideal birthing place of greatness.

Today, we’re too stressed, too busy, too tired. Or we already ruined our diet by having a cookie with our coffee. Or we already spend an hour procrastinating so we feel there is no point to studying anymore, we feel like the circumstances are just so NOT right today…We might as well give up this day and start fresh tomorrow.

Tomorrow is just so much prettier in our minds. So much more ideal to start then, wait it out.

But waiting another day often turns into waiting for the next day, and the next, and the next.

The illusion of a tomorrow with perfect circumstances can make us waste so much precious time.

Hold onto this idea: Your future is created by what you do today (right now), not by what you think you might be able to do tomorrow.

Nothing fucking happens tomorrow. Everything you could do for your future happens today, right now, in this moment.

You create your future by doing things in alliance with THAT future today, whatever they may be.Do what you can, however big or small, but do it today.

And today is Monday, the start of a new week, so it’s one of the freshest, cleanest todays you could have. So there’s that bonus.

Use it well, babies. Create your future by doing some awesome, relaxing or joyful things today. Have fun and see you out there.
